Hi Rob, great list, just one thing. Perhaps either rename the giving to kids photo or change the photo to an organized place as i don’t think people should be encouraged to give to child beggars as it is a main reason they don’t go to school. you can grab a photo of children receiving help from my site if you wish, http://www.poipleshadow.com , or just mention about not giving to child beggars. it does make it so much harder to help the kids if they get money / gifts from begging.

hopefully your comment will tell people everything . its so hard with a pocket full of money and a gorgeaous face like that in need , but yes completely take on board with what you say mate . i often tell people online to visit your great site .

  2. Sophie says:

Hi Rob, starting planning visit in Feb ’16 partly due to loving your flavour… Could you advise regarding hiring a motorbike? We are looking to explore and soak it up but not sure what to expect. Anticipate starting in Agonda πŸ™‚ Soph

    • tharobster says:

      thanks !
seems a great place to start . due to turtle beach , everything gets extremely quiet at night there [which is nice if you want that] . palolem might be better if you fancy a row of beach bars to hang out at rather than sit with a book on agonda . either way its only several mins on a bike [one almost deserted road] . when in south ive stayed at or nearer palolem , but day tripped to agonda , cola , and patnem each day for a diff vibe as its easier and safer to drive in day than at night especially after a few beers lol . lovely place and a slower pace than the north , however fri and sats have 2 great nights out in palolem [leopard valley and silent noise]
hiring a motorbike, most are 125 scooters [twist n go] , hire will be about 250R/Β£2.50 per day – just carry your IDP [from some post offices check online] incase a cop stops you or it might take 500R donut tax in his pocket lol . usually its more in major towns you might get a pull , but for Β£5 its worth carrying . hiring is simple as walk up show ID and go , like most things in goa they are much simpler than back home [wherever that may be]
      hope it helps πŸ˜‰

  3. jon seddon says:

great post dentists opticians and shave are 3 things I will do next visit

  4. Goavirgin says:

Advice on best method of transfer from airport to Baga needed please? Hotel quoting 1400 each way but that sounds like a rip off to me. Leaving in three days. Thanks.

  5. Vix says:

Absolutely brilliant! Goa really does have something for everyone. 7 days to go until we’re back and your fab post has made me even more excited (if that’s possible!) x

  6. Justine & Kelvin Price says:

Catch a local bus. Brilliant times.

  8. keith says:

Scuba Diving, now if we had had poor visibility that would have been a bonus, 1st dive was 2-3 metres vis, 2nd dive was optimistically rated at 1 metre, I began to feel like a real Indian as I spent the next 30 minutes holding another blokes hand, given that it took place underwater fortunately no one could tell on me. As the Instructor said diving is all about diving
On the boat back we did see a number of Dolphins jumping about, suspect they were coming up just to see daylight as well

  9. Vicki says:

Dolphin watching from the shore at Agonda beach πŸ™‚
