spent the day chilling on anjuna beach . anjuna is cool , always something different on this long beach each day . you can find good music lounge bars , huts , food n booze shacks , trance places , or peace and quiet . people are cool here .
afterwards decided to try a different place for dinner . everyone loves baga on trip advisor so decided to have a ‘reminder of home’ and join the fellow brits on the c/c/b , been a while since ive heard english voices ! it wasnt as busy as the last time i drove into baga thankfully , that was a baptism of fire when dj david guetta was on back late december last year omg never seen anything like that day for traffic ! drove the length of baga main street adn looked for names id seen mentioned . ‘jamies’ stood out as a brand i recognized so went for it .
was a nice menu – VIEW LARGE SHOT OF COCKTAILS AND STARTERS TO GET A FLAVOUR
so glad i chose here and glad people had talked about it so much that i remembered . firstly drinks are superb , some of the best cocktails ive had in goa served properly in frosted glasses etc . daquiri , cosmo , margarita all really good . and they went down so easy . could be a long nite 😉
followed it up with buffallo wings wit blue cheese sauce dip mmmmmmmm , then burgundy beef + mash . was fairly decent beef pieces with creamy mash .
got to say superb service from waiters dressed accordingly in black , and the place was nice too . it was really busy , barely a table even early evening 7pm . one of my best meals in goa for sure .
afterwards trooped along the baga main street and saw an indian brass band at a small church .
they where getting ready for a small gathering all the tables where out .
was on the wall at street entrance , seemed a fair deal .
back over to anjuna , got all my stuff for the evening and headed on over to a place called club west end in saligao . these are the signs at entrance on main rd
as you head off up village gravelly paths you pass little signs along the way steering you into the club
dnot know what was kept in here ,looked interesting tho , great for a picture too !
this place ni the village lokoed like it would have been a nice prop , abaondoned with a homeless family living in it !
till you arrive at club entrance
it is the only main trance place i havent been to . its about 10 mins inland behind baga . all the other places are in anjuna or vagator mostly . this place is huge . its over 3 floors , trance downstairs , breaks where playing higher up , and topped it off with a big sound system and a swimming pool on the roof !!!
small shops selling rave tat
its more of a club than 9bar or west end clubs , but the had minimal goa trance gets heavy and isnt for the faint hearted at all – pounding ! it was a part of a 3 day long non stop trance marathon , apparently last night was a big nite , tonite was only about 10% full . the dj is on a tripped out podium
later in the night decided to head towards home / anjuna , making a couple of stops on the way back to a party in anjuna … incl taking a look at club cubana . on the way to cubana the church near saligao was all lit up , had to take a few pics looked awesome at night .
arrived at club cubana . i know its a pay in 1000 and drink free but i wasnt staying that long its too commercial for me . tried to chance it in [as you do] parked the bike and got a ride all the way up the arpora hill to club entrance in an army jeep ! brilliant ! the door team wherent having any of me walking in for nothing at all despite me persevering , so got off . it was worth it tho just to take a ride in that jeep haha . it looked quite busy too . maybe if i was gonna drink 1000 of drinks i might have gone in . if your on a beach youll get flyers like this given to you .
arrived back hippies in anjuna , they had an all nite 6am party happening on the beach with tech house and trance blasting out . was pretty busy and free entry . ended up smashed and cant really remember too much more at this point lolz
music got harder and harder as it got later …
